Celester Jake Tyson, Jr.

Celester Jake (Jay) Tyson, Jr., 61, of Dunn NC passed away on Friday November 17, 2023, after a short illness.

Jay was preceded in death by his parents, Celester Jake (Pete) Tyson, Sr. & Christine Barfield Tyson of Wilson, NC.

He is survived by his daughter Crystal Tyson (Casey) of Rocky Mount, NC, sister Lorie Tyson Jones (Mike) of Burlington, NC, and niece Brooks Jones Hill (Will) of Cary, NC.

Jay was employed with Millstream Farms in Dunn, NC for 35 + years and will be greatly missed by his work companions and the entire Chancy family.

A special thank you to Mack Farrow, Jay’s best friend and hunting buddy and to the Carrolton of Dunn for their care of Jay during his brief stay.

A Memorial Service will be on Monday, November 27, 2023, at 1:30 pm at West & Dunn Funeral Home of Newton Grove.
