It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brandy Nicole Lee, age 45 of Erwin, a brave and beautiful soul, who went to Heaven peacefully on August 25, 2025. Though her time with us was far too short, Brandy’s life was a shining example of courage, resilience, and unwavering love. We rejoice in knowing that Brandy has received a new body as she ran into the loving arms of Jesus!
Brandy was born on November 5, 1979, to Carolyn and Junior Lee of Erwin. From a very young age, she faced many challenges that would test even the strongest of hearts. Despite a journey marked by illnesses and countless battles, she met each day with strength, grace, and a smile that could brighten even the darkest room. She was a true fighter until the very end—showing all who knew her what it means to live with hope, faith, and determination.
Brandy loved spending time with her family and her little dog, Tazz. She had a heart full of kindness and never spoke negatively of anyone. She welcomed and loved everyone she met and often expressed her joy and generosity by making and giving away crafts. Her gentle spirit and radiant love touched every life around her.
Brandy is preceded in death by her mama, Carolyn Pope Lee; her brother, Robert E. Lee III “Blue”; her maternal grandparents, Lemon Clifford and Rosa Lucas Pope; and her paternal grandparents, Robert E. and Margaret Barefoot Lee.
She is survived by her daddy, Robert E. Lee Jr. “Junior” of Erwin, NC; her sisters, Margaret Jeanette Addison (Beau) of Fayetteville, NC, and Robbie Lynne Wood (Ricky) of Elizabethtown, NC; her brother, Jason Matthew Lee “Matt” (Dana) of Linden, NC; niece and nephew, Ashley and Jonathan Wood; niece, Kelsey Lee Callaway (Jay); nephew, Levi Addison (Lindsey); as well as several great-nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, many cousins, and her beloved fur baby, Tazz.
A celebration of Brandy’s life will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at St. Matthew PFWB Church located at 110 St. Matthews Road in Erwin, NC. Visitation with the family will be from 1:00–2:00 p.m., followed by a service officiated by Pastor Jerome Edwards at 2:00 p.m. The family warmly welcomes all who loved her to join in honoring her beautiful spirit. Burial will follow at Erwin Memorial Park immediately after the service.
This scripture sums up Brandy’s life so perfectly: “I have fought a good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who have shown love, prayers, and support throughout Brandy’s journey. Your kindness and compassion have been a true blessing.
