Billy Ray Dupree

Billy Ray Dupree, 68, of Garner passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. 

Billy was born on April 30, 1957 in Johnston County to the late Wiley Randall Dupree and Geraldine Poole Dupree. 

He is also preceded in death by a brother, Walter Dupree and a niece, Barbara Coppley. 

Billy was known to be a happy person who always had a joke to tell you. He was a funny man who was always friendly and never met a stranger. He had a huge fascination and love for collecting watches and would go through many a phone. He was a well-loved man in life, and will always be loved by friends, family and those who had the blessing of meeting him.

He is survived and loved by his girlfriend, Peggy Williams of Ahoskie, NC; sister, Annie Hollyfield of Kenly, NC; nephews, Chris Hollyfield of Kenly, NC, Randy Hollyfield of Texas; and a niece, Kathy Hollyfield of Kenly.

He is also loved by many great nieces and nephews. 

Billy will be greatly missed.

Graveside funeral service will be on Tuesday, July 29th, 2025 at 3 pm at the Maple Wood Cemetery.
