Betsy Bryan Bizzell

Miss Betsy Bryan Bizzell passed away on December 10, 2022, at Universal Health Care of Ramseur, N.C. Miss Bizzell was born on October 28, 1930, in Goldsboro, N.C. She lived in Fayetteville, N.C., and attended public schools there until graduating from High School in 1948. After High School, she attended Mars Hill College for two years and then entered Duke University School of Nursing graduating in 1952. Betsy spent over 40 years in the Nursing Profession. Soon after graduation, she and several Duke Nursing friends answered the call to serve several years at two out-of-state hospitals during the polio epidemic. Betsy later returned to Fayetteville and worked for several private practice Physicians as well as Cape Fear Valley Hospital. Betsy ended her career working as a Home Health Care Nurse. 

Betsy was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Sarah Bizzell and brother Frank Bizzell. She is survived by her brother Bill Bizzell of Asheboro, N.C. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hospice of Randolph County 416 Vision Drive Asheboro, N.C. 27203.

Graveside services will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery of Newton Grove, N.C. on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, beginning at 1:00 pm.
