Amber Leann Dixon

Amber Leann Dixon, November 29, 1988 – July 21, 2023 age 33 left this world unexpectedly on July 21, 2023 in Greensboro, NC, where she resided for the past year. Amber was born in Cumberland County, NC and was a long time resident of Benson.

Amber is survived by her son; Danny Lee Russo of Four Oaks, father; Danny Lee Dixon of Clinton, four sisters; Gwendolyn Caldwell of Lillington, Danielle Norris, Patricia Eguia and Karen Canada of Benson, brother; Jeremey Chapman of Pinehurst, and step-brother, Jimmy Johnson of Benson, Host of Nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.

Amber was proceeded in death by her loving mother; Deborah Lynn Dixon (1991), and both maternal & Paternal grandparents.

Amber was the light on any dark day. She was always smiling and willing to help anyone she could. She remained humble throughout her life and truly cherished everyday she was blessed with. Amber enjoyed the small things in life, like sunrises and sunsets. The changing color of the leaves always amazed her and she took comfort in watching the seasons change.

Amber found her peace when she was fishing and loving on animals. She loved the calmness that she felt when she was by a pond or river.

Amber showed us all the power and effect of simply loving one another. She had never met a stranger and everyone loved and adored her.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 29 at 11:00AM at West and Dunn Funeral Home Chapel in Benson.

The family would like to thank the community of Benson for their love and support of our beloved Amber. A very special thank you to Ambers aunt Kimberly Parker (Carroll) for the love, care, compassion and guidance instilled in Amber throughout her life.
