Albert Galvan

Albert Galvan, age 65 of Rocky Mount passed away on September 14, 2022. He was preceded in death by his son, Albert Galvan II; parents, Susanna and Baldamar Galvan; sisters, Rubina Flores, MaryAnn Ramirez, and Alicia Salas.

Surviving are his loving wife, Carolyn Galvan; daughters, Victoria Galvan Vazquez (Christopher), Michelle Odom (Fred), Sonya Underwood (Eddie); sons, Steve Blackman (Cheryl) Chad Barkhouse; grandchildren, Albert Camden Vazquez, Colby Weeks, Haiden Blackman, Jackson Weeks, Cody and Casey Underwood; brothers, Baldamar Galvan II (Carmen), Pedro Galvan (Vergie), Richard “Anthem” Galvan (Will Ash); sisters, Janie Sanchez (Ruben), Susan DeLuna (Steve); along with many loved nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Resurrection will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with Father Carlos Lerma officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Newton Grove, N.C., beginning at 3:30 p.m. His family will receive friends beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday prior to the Mass. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount, Va. and West & Dunn Funeral Home, Inc., Newton Grove, N.C.
