William "Bill" W. Matthews

William W. “Bill” Matthews, 72 passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018.  Mr. Matthews graveside service will be held on Monday, July 9, 2018, at 11:00 am.  The service will be held in Palestine Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Linden.  The Rev. Don Fisher will be officiating the service.  

Mr. Matthews survivors include his wife, Linda M. Matthews; stepchildren, James Blackmon of Linden and Robert Blackmon and wife Julie of Linden; step-grandchildren, Dekota Blackmon and Kylie Blackmon; brothers, Jimmy Matthews of Fayetteville, Ricky Matthews of Fayetteville, Duncan Matthews of Fayetteville and Thomas Matthews and wife Belinda of Fayetteville; he also had several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Matthews was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Josephine Matthews; sister, Carylon Spensor, wife, Violet A. Matthews.
