Thomas McRease Johnson

Thomas M. Johnson, 86 of Erwin passed away at home surrounded by his family on Friday, September 22, 2017.  Mr. Johnson's funeral service will be on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 2:00 pm, in the West and Dunn Funeral Home Chapel in Erwin.  The Rev. Jerome Pope and Rev. Bill Byrd will officiate the service.  Mr. Johnson will be laid to rest in Erwin Memorial Parkn, where he will receive military honors.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 27 from 12:30 to 1:45 pm.

Mr. Johnson's survivors include his wife, Judy T. Johnson, his son, Mark H. Johnson and wife Sharon of Land O’Lakes, Fl.; a daughter, Lisa Patrick of Erwin; grandchildren, Jessica, Ryan, Jason, Austin, Jacob, Chloe, Justin and Adam; great grandchildren, Jaron, Violet and Savanna; sisters-in-law, Rev. France H. Gay and Kay Trump Overby and husband Dwight; brothers-in-law, Ricky Trump and wife Carol, Larry Mason and wife Patty; and his loving pet, Jenny Lynn Johnson.

Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy Lu Johnson; his parents, George Robert and Rhoda Johnson; and his siblings, Lola, Laila, Pearl, Dorothy, Josephine and Lewis.

Mr. Johnson proudly served his country in the United States Army.
