Mrs. Ruth M. Crumpler, 82 of Dunn passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Wake Med Hospital, Raleigh, NC.
A Rosary for Mrs. Crumpler will be held Friday August 3rd at 6:00 P.M. with a visitation to follow in the Chapel of West & Dunn Funeral Home, Newton Grove. Father Kevin Moley will be officiating the service. Her funeral mass will be held Saturday, August 4th at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Guadlaupe Catholic Church, Newton Grove and she will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.
Her survivors include her daughters, Susan C. Godwin of Benson, Jeannette C. Porter of Durham, Anita C. Hajjar of Goldsboro, her son Michael C. Crumpler of Greenvile, S.C. Her grandchildren, Joe E. Godwin, Jr., David C. Porter, Leah Higgs, Kathryn G. Hajjar, Jason E. Godwin, Anna M. Hajjar, Brandon L. Porter, Christine C. Gladden and Jessica C. Hill. Also left to cherish her memory are 15 great grandchildren. A special friend Rosetta Monds.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael D. & Dorothy L. Tart and her husband Herman C. Crumpler.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 211 Irwin Drive, Newton Grove, NC 28366 or to St. Jude's Children Hospital or to the Local Parrish of one's choice.

Mom grew up in the country and after meeting and marrying Dad, began her trek across the world. So she had a well rounded appreciation for what it takes to live in this world and knew no strangers and loved helping people. She loved the Catholic Church and all things Catholic. Some of her hobbies were gardening, sewing and quilting and mostly just being at the beach. She also was a great animal lover and wouldn’t fish because she would have to hurt the worm saying “why can’t everyone just eat grass????” She was a low maintenance type of person and knew how to live simple.
