Roy Clayton Norris, 83 of Erwin passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Betsy Johnson Hospital surrounded by his family.  Mr. Norris' funeral service will be held on Monday, March 12, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the West and Dunn Funeral Home Chapel in Erwin.  The Rev. Jerome Pope will be officiating the funeral service.  Mr. Norris will be laid to rest in Erwin Memorial Park in Erwin.  Visitation  will be held on Sunday, March 11, 2018 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at West and Dunn Funeral Home in Erwin, NC.

Mr. Norris' survivors in his wife, Mary Jane Norris; his sons, Ricky Norris and wife Patricia of Athens, Al. and Edward R. Norris and wife Deborah of Bristol, Ct.; grandchildren, Melanie Romero and Anthony Dupre', step son, Mickeal L. Jackson of Eastover; a step grandson, Bill Wheeler; and his sisters, Linda N. Wood of Clayton, Helon N. Gaster and husband Thurman of Clinton and Patsy N. Tripp and husband Ben of Erwin.

Mr. Norris was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Mila Norris; and a brother, Howard Norris.

Mr. Norris proudly served in the Army for over 20 years until his retirement.  Mr. Norris will receive military honors at the cemetery.
