Rebecca "Becky" Steed Sykes

Ms. Rebecca "Becky" Steed Sykes, 78, of Clinton passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Ms. Sykes funeral service will be held Friday, February 23, 2018 at Mary's Chapel Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 22nd from 6 till 8 p.m. at West & Dunn Funeral Home of Newton Grove and other times at the home of Anthony & Shelia Steed, Timberlake Dr., Clinton, N.C. Officiating the service will be the Rev. David Willis and Rev. C. H. Lee. Ms. Sykes will be laid to rest in Hillcrest Cemetery, Newton Grove. 

Her survivors include her sons, Michael Steed and wife Becky of Hampstead, Anthony Steed and wife Shelia of Clinton, Sisters Dixie Britton of Clinton, Polly Salinetti and Richard of Benson, brothers Wayne Barefoot and wife Kathy of Tennessee and Glenn Barefoot (Janet Walters) of Virginia, Grandchildren Albert Steed and Gretchen Ingwersen, Ashley Szulak and Michael, Morgan Steed, Scott and Griffin Sutton. Ms. Sykes also leaves 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husbands Thomas Steed and James Sykes, her parents Simon and Flonnie Barefoot and brothers Harper and Larry Barefoot.
