Quincy Geneva (Martin) Edwards

Quincy Martin Edwards, a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister, friend and devoted Christian went home to be with the Lord and all her loved ones on Sunday December 15th, surrounded by her loving family.

Quincy and her late husband Bill shared a wonderful military life filled with travel and adventure.  During their years together they lived in Maine, Nebraska, Florida, and Turkey.  They settled in Fayetteville, North Carolina and continued to raise their family there.  Quincy’s greatest pleasures were her children, grandchildren, her incredible knack for growing beautiful flowers, and spending time with her family and friends.  Quincy was loving and kind, she never met a stranger.

She is survived by her son Anthony Edwards of Seattle Washington, daughters, Amy Hawley (Marty) of Erwin, North Carolina, Connie Edwards of Linden, Grandchildren, Richard Carroll Fayetteville and Tiffany Klecka (Daniel) of Kernersville, Lorna Husky of Fayetteville and Justin Hawley of Cary, Nine Great Grandchildren. Sisters, Christy Bevan (Brownie) St. Stephens Church, Virginia, Ida Sumerlin (George) Cary, North Carolina, brother Ira Lee Epps (Talu) Kennesaw, Georgia.   She leaves a host of beloved nieces and nephews.

Quincy was preceded in death by her father, Henry Martin, mother Jewel Martin Epps, step father Ira Howard Epps.  Sister, Jean Williams and extended family Remell Jacobs, Veril Martin and James Epps.

Services for Quincy Martin Edwards are Friday, December 20, 2019 at West and Dunn Funeral Home Chapel of Erwin, NC beginning at 11:00 am. A Visitation will begin one hour prior to the Funeral Service at the funeral home.
