Mary "Lunette" (Thornton) Wells

Ms. Mary "Lunette" Wells, 76, of Four Oaks passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at her home.  Ms. Wells' funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 2 pm at the West & Dunn Funeral Home Chapel in Newton Grove.  The family will receive friends at the funeral on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 from 1 to 2 pm.  Ms. Wells will be laid to rest at Mill Creek Christian Church Cemetery in Four Oaks.  

Ms. Wells' survivors include her son Marshall Barfield of the home; her sister, Sandra Hammick and husband David of Salemburg; brothers, John B. Thornton of Four Oaks, Billy Thornton and wife Debbie of Knightdale, Floyd Thornton and wife Shirley of Dudley, Bobby Thornton and wife Joanne of Newton Grove and Tony Thornton and wife Carolyn of Newton Grove.

Ms. Wells was preceded in death by her parents, Milford and Louise Thornton; a sister, Lois Burnette; and two brothers, Dewey Thornton and Carey Glenn Thornton.
