Fay Bryan Jordan, 84, passed peacefully on July 10, 2018. She was born on May 30, 1934 in Parmale to the late Cora Turner Bryan and James Bryan. On January 1, 1955 Fay married Paul Graham Jordan, Sr. who preceded her in death in 2016.
Fay owned a local beauty salon, where she served her beloved friends for over 50 years. Gardening in the backyard, quilting, cooking for her friends and family, and serving her community were among her favorite hobbies. She was a devoted member of Erwin United Methodist Church since 1958, where she served in many capacities, to include singing in the choir. She loved spending time at Lake Gaston, where family continues on the tradition of making memories together.
Surviving family include a daughter, Debbie Jordan Phillips and husband Dennis, of Wilson, NC, a son, Paul G. Jr. and wife Suzanne, of Raleigh, NC, and a son, Wayne Jordan of Sanford, NC, grandchildren, Tiffany Phillips Rowe and husband Jason of Princeton, NC, Jordan Phillips and wife Britney, of Wilson, NC, Caroline Jordan, of Raleigh, NC; and great-granddaughter, Gracyn Phillips of Wilson, NC.
The family would like to thank Zebulon Rehab, Heartland Hospice, and her special caregivers for their loving support.
A celebration of Fay’s life will be held Sunday, July 15th, at three o’clock in the afternoon at Erwin United Methodist Church, with Rev. Don Mitchell and Rev. Neil Smith officiating. The family will receive friends, beginning at two o’clock, before the service, in the church vestibule. Burial will be privately held for the family at Erwin Memorial Park.
