Dorothy (Tyndall) Ashley

Dorothy Tyndall Ashley, 86, of Erwin, died Monday, December 31, 2018. An Erwin native, Dorothy was the daughter of the late I.W. Tyndall Sr. and Lizzie Patterson Tyndall. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Heather Ashley, sister Estelle Parker, and brother I.W. Tyndall, Jr.

At the young age of 10, Dorothy made her profession of faith and became a member of Erwin United Methodist Church, where she was a choir member and served various positions in the church over the years. Dorothy was retired from Machine and Welding Supply Company of Dunn.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 3, 2019, 11:00 am at the Erwin Memorial Park by Rev. Don Mitchell.

Survivors include a sister, Gertie Duke of Erwin; son, Dwight Ashley of Erwin and daughter, Terry Ashley of Conover; grandchildren, Tiffany Ashley of Erwin and Ann Marie Moore of Conover; and several nieces and nephews.
