Doris R. Batten

Mrs. Doris R. Batten, 87 of Four Oaks, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2019 at WakeMed Health and Hospitals, Raleigh, N.C. A celebration of her life will be held Monday, June 17, 2019 at Central Baptist Church, Dunn beginning at 2 p.m. The family will receive family and friends at West & Dunn Funeral Home, Newton Grove, Sunday, June 16th from 6 till 8 p.m. Officiating her service will be the Rev. Tom Wagoner. Her interment will be at Pauline Baptist Church Cemetery, Four Oaks. 

Left to cherish her memories are her husband; Joe Batten of the home, daughter; Marie Batten Barbour of Clayton, sons; Robin Batten and wife Lynelle of Four Oaks, Glenn Batten of Four Oaks, daughter-in-law; Sheila Batten of Four Oaks, grandchildren; Katina Anderson and husband Andy, Chase Batten and wife Jamie, Deanna Lee and husband Blane, Lauren Byrd, Shepard Barbour and wife Amber and Sawyer Gordon and husband Clay. Also, ten great-grandchildren. 

Mrs. Batten was preceded in death by her parents; Bertus and Vada Raynor, sons; Terry Batten and Ronnie Batten and 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
