Dexter Charles Herring

Dexter Herring, 29, of Erwin passed away on January 10, 2020 surrounded by his family.  Dexter's funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at 2:00 pm.  The service will be held at the West & Dunn Funeral Home Chapel in Erwin.  The Rev. Bobby Herring will be officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.  Dexter will be laid to rest Hillcrest Cemetery in Newton Grove.

Dexter's survivors include his father, James Earl Herring and step-mother Sandi of Lillington; his grandfather, Earl Herring of Erwin; brothers, Derek Earl Herring of Erwin and Alexander Herring of Troy, NY; as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Dexter was preceded in death by his grandmother, Elsie Jane Herring.
