Anthony DeWayne Smith

Anthony Smith, 71, of Newton Grove passed away on Monday, July 17, 2017. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Officiating the service will be  Father Kevin Moley and Rev. Penny Zimmerman. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church Cemetery

A Rosary service will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 6 p.m. in the chapel at West & Dunn Funeral Home, Newton Grove. The family will receive friends immediately following the Rosary service.

Mr Smith's survivors include wife, Sue Smith; a daughter, Cynthia Smith of Newton Grove; a son, DeWayne Smith & wife Lisa of Salemburg; grandchildren, Adam Capps and Jordan Smith; a sister, Cecelia Warren & husband Mike of Dunn; brothers, Victor Smith & wife Jackie, Cody Smith & wife Natalie all of Newton Grove; brother-in-law, Robert Jernigan & wife Sue of Dunn and Lynn Mobley of Houston, TX; sister-in-law, Regina Sherman & husband Russell of Dunn and a favorite feline, Frannie Rose.

Mr. Smith is preceded in death by parents, Elasta & Rosalie Smith; sister, Judy Mobley; brothers, D.C. & Gary Smith and a  niece, Melissa Bolian.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Leukemia Foundation.
