Willis Lester Stewart

Mr. Willis Lester Stewart, 94, of Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehab Center passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017.  Funeral Service will be Saturday July 1, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Antioch United Methodist Church in Four Oaks. Officiating will be the Rev. Walter Gaskins, Rev. Tod Creech and Rev. Marshall Stewart. Mr. Stewart will be laid to rest in the Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Survivors are his daughter Pat Thompson and husband Vernon of Four Oaks, son Dennis Stewart and wife Teresa of Manteo and daughter-in-law Kathy Stewart of Four Oaks, son-in-law, Jerry Creech of Four Oaks, 9 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren. 

Mr. Stewart was a United States Army Veteran serving his country from 1943 until 1945. He was discharged from the Army with an Honorable Discharge. He served as Corporal Battery "A" 83rd Armored Field Artillery Battalion.

 Mr. Stewart was preceded in death by his wife Hortense “Molly” Stewart, parents Willis Calvin and Minnie Myrtle Stewart, a son Willis Arnold Stewart and a daughter Donna Elaine Creech.

 Family will receive friends at West & Dunn Funeral Home in Newton Grove Friday June 30th from 6 – 8 p.m.
