Mr. Norman L. Dunn

Vice President - Funeral Service Licensee

Mr. Dunn is a graduate of Fayetteville Technical Community College, with an associate degree in Funeral Service. Mr. Dunn has been a Licensed Funeral Director since 1983 and licensed Embalmer since 1984.

In October 1993, Mr. Dunn joined the staff of H. S. West Funeral Homes, Inc. as a fully licensed funeral service director. Looking towards the growth of the funeral homes, Mr. Sam West and Mr. Dunn formed a partnership in 1996 that became, West & Dunn Funeral Homes, Inc. In July 2002 with the death of Mr. Sam West, Mr. Dunn was elected vice-president and served in this capacity unit July 2011. At that time, he purchased all shares of stock from the West family and became the full owner of the company.

Mr. Dunn has been married to Mrs. Bonnie Dunn since 1969 and resides in the Four Oaks community. Together they have two daughters, Shanda and husband, Chad Snead; Leigh and husband, Jason Ross; two granddaughters, Madilynn and Riley Snead and a grandson, Dylan Ross.

In his time away from the office, Mr. Dunn is a member of Lees Chapel Advent Christian Church in Four Oaks where he is a member of the church choir, a former deacon and is involved in many other groups and activities. He is the Treasurer of the Eastern North Carolina Advent Christian Conference and currently the Vice President of the State Annual Singing Convention in Benson. He enjoys spending time on his farm in Four Oaks, playing with is grandchildren, working with his beagles, cows and tending his gardens.
